Production Photos
2004.1.24 - Angela's Death, Metrolinks Golf Course in Oakland
Our first scene worked out perfectly. The rain stopped right before we shot and everyone was in amazingly good spirits at 6am. View the full gallery!

2004.1.24 - Irreversible Intro, Home Office
With the help of many, we managed to setup a beautiful home office for Otto and Max. The intro scene depicts Otto at his desk and introduces the audience to his obsessive need to put things back in their place. View the full gallery!

2004.1.25 - Max Fires Otto, Home Office
Our first view of Max's desk went great. John and Sam's dueling dialogue played perfectly with the exhagerated camera angles. View the full gallery!

2004.1.25 - Shinui-Chaim Pesters Otto, Street & Kitchen
Lucky again, the neighbor moved his car just in time for us to get all the daylight shots we needed. We even had some onlookers. The most challenging shot in the kitchen was trying to capture the perfect egg splatter. View the full gallery!

2004.1.31 - Sharp-Shooting Brock Barnes
Our last-minute casting of James Conolly as Brock Barnes proved to be extremely successful. We managed to pull off the most elaborate shot of the movie with 5 focus racks and plenty of camera movements. View the full gallery!

2004.1.31 - The Break-In and the Shootout, Home Office
Substituting a beanie in as a ski-mask was a bit dangerous, as Otto's mask was torn to shreds by the end of the scene. Though we still managed to get the menacing shots we needed despite a series of comedic mishaps performed by our own Samuel Child. View the full gallery!

2004.2.1 - Introducing Brock Barnes
The pristine waiting room could easily have passed for a real doctor's room... complete with cheesy art-work. View the full gallery!

2004.2.1 - Max Awakes, Max's Bedroom
Christine's high point, playing Max's wife, Gloria. We shot this scene in the middle of the day and managed to make it looks like the middle of the night by blocking out the windows and using Evan's blue gels to create the moon-lit look. View the full gallery!

2004.2.1 - Otto at Home, Otto's Bedroom
Taylor's room doubled as Otto's carefully organized bedroom. All the furniture was precisely arranged to show Otto's love of simplistic routine. View the full gallery!

2004.2.1 - Otto Prepares the Break-In, Otto's Car
We used Dan's immaculate VW Beetle for this shot in order to avoid setting any sort of specific time that the movie takes place (we also avoided telephones, computers, and IKEA furniture to complete the timelessness). And given Otto's obsessive-compulsiveness, a perfectly clean car that hasn't changed for years is right up his alley. View the full gallery!
